The Lt. Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation
The Lt Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation is a privately funded, non-profit foundation established in 2014, whose mission includes awarding annual college scholarships to high school seniors who are children of Dallas Fire Department members. Scholarships will be awarded to those best personifying the moral, academic and leadership qualities that Lt. Krodle exhibited throughout his life.
The applicant must be a child of a Dallas Fire-Rescue Department member.
The applicant must be a US citizen.
The applicant must become and remain a full-time student for at least two terms or semesters at an accredited university, or junior or senior college, in the year in which the applicant applies.
The applicant must be in compliance with federal laws regarding Selective Service Registration.
The applicant must not be in default of a federal or state loan or owe a refund on any previously received financial aid.
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one applicant each year. This $1,000 scholarship is renewable each semester by maintaining a 3.0 GPA and upon review and approval of the official transcript. Scholarship is renewable each semester for a maximum of 8 semesters or four (4) years. The Foundation’s Board and Executive Committee, at the recommendation of the Selection Committee, may also choose to award additional one-time scholarships.

Applications must be postmarked no later than: 15 March 2019.
Only applications completed correctly and submitted as one package will be considered. Incorrect applications or applications sent to the incorrect address will be discarded and the Lt. Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation will accept no responsibility for those applications. Incorrect or incomplete applications will not be returned.
Only the selected applicant(s) will be notified of the scholarship award.
Please provide two (2) reference letters, one from an educator and the second from someone familiar with you through your community, church or extracurricular activities.
